Green Pheasant | KF3 | Nexon Game | Gallery |
Green Pheasant is a type of avian Friend that appeared in the original Kemono Friends mobile game. She received a redesign and has since appeared in Kemono Friends 3.
Appearance
Old Design
Green Pheasant had deep yellow-gold eyes. Her hairstyle was very similar to the hime-style haircut. She had very rich blue hair that reached her midsection with a little emerald green tuft at the top. The bangs framing her face were bright red with faded red edges, whereas her center bangs were pointed and had a blue streak in the middle that resembled a diamond. On the sides, she had two wings that were a brown-orange gradient and had a brown-gray feather fringe.
Her shirt was a white dress shirt with a green fitted vest that had soft orange trim. Her skirt, socks, and shoes were the same color as her feather fringes on her head wings, and the leggings were a very dark brown. The tips of her shoes were the same shade of brown as her leggings. Finally, her tail was orange at the base and had the same shades of brown as her wings.
New Design
Green Pheasant has shoulder-length, dark cornflower-blue hair and cream colored eyes. The center bang turns into a soft white towards the tips. At the top of her head are two tufts that turn into a darker blue at the ends. She wears a big red bow in the middle of her center bangs tied with a black band. There are two longer strands of ribbon from the bow that frame the sides of her face, and those too are held together by a black band.
Her shirt is now a deep emerald green sweater with a brighter blue scarf fading to turquoise. She dons a black belt with a blue bow, which is held together by a simple gold belt ring. The skirt is now a puffy, knee length garment with a white feather fringe on the left-underside, and the leggings appear to be a very dark blue. Lastly, the shoes are beige calf-high boots with little bows on the hems and gray toe tips.

In Real Life
The green pheasant, also known as the Japanese green pheasant, is an omnivorous bird native to the Japanese archipelago, to which it is endemic. The species is sexually dimorphic, with the males having bright green, red, blue, and even purple plumage and the females having a dull brown mottled plumage.
Their diet varies between wild and captive birds; in the wild, they will eat small animals, such as worms and insects, grains and plants, whereas in human care they will be fed pellets, seeds, plants and live food.
Breeding season starts during March or April and ends in June. Green pheasants can first breed when they are about one year old. A single clutch can have anywhere between six and fifteen eggs. The eggs are incubated for 23 to 25 days.
Trivia
- Green Pheasant is the national bird of Japan.
- Some sources claim that the green pheasant is a subspecies of the common pheasant, though others claim that they are separate, though closely related, species.
- Western Europe has bred with the green pheasant with the common pheasant for so long that there are no more pure green pheasants in that region.
