The Prologue is a quest in the original Kemono Friends [[Kemono Friends Kingdom|Kingdom]]. It is the prologue to the story quests and can only be replayed in the Adventure Log. It is divided into three sections: Way of Water, Ambush!, and A Little Help from My Friends.  

Way of Water: I awaken to find myself drowning in the river, my mind a blank slate. But just in the nick of time, Weasel and Chevrotain come to my rescue. However, our moment of respite is short-lived as a Cerulean emerges and gives chase. With no other options left, we follow Lucky beast, who claims to be our escort, to the patrolling aircraft... The stakes are high, and we know we must fight to survive!

Ambush!: Amidst the thick fog, we see a giant Cerulean that we know we can't defeat alone. But then, to our surprise, Eurasian Eagle Owl and Hippopotamus come to our aid. Together, we face the Cerulean head-on.

A Little Help from My Friends: Thanks to our friends' help, we narrowly escape danger. And so, inspired by Eurasian Eagle Owl and Hippopotamus, Weasel and Chevrotain decide to take me to their mysterious friend, Haruka, who might hold the key to unlocking my identity.

| Least Weasel || Drowning in the river? What a dumb Friend.

| Chevrotain || Wonderful, you're finally awake! Can you speak? Are you hurt anywhere?

| Least Weasel || Huh, why are you staring at me? Is there something on my face?

| Chevrotain || Weasel-chan, really~ The kid just woke up from a coma, she hasn't fully recovered.  

| Chevrotain || You have a confused look on your face, is something wrong?

| Chevrotain || This is the "Silent River Bank", the riverbank has lots of glowing rocks, so Weasel-chan and I came in the middle of the night to gather them. / I'm Chevrotain, this is my partner Weasel-san.

| Chevrotain || Weasel-chan is very brave, very reliable, she just jumped into the river to save you~

| Least Weasel || Say, you're really reckless! You can't swim, so why would you jump in the river!

| Chevrotain || Um, um, where exactly are you from? I've never seen a Friend like you before~

| Least Weasel || ......You don't even know that? / Can't remember the riverbed? How you ended up here? Can you also not remember who you are?

| Least Weasel || It's over Chevrotain, this child is severely ill!

| Chevrotain || Can't remember anything and likely sick, how scary......

| Least Weasel || Name.....is that something important?

| Chevrotain || Great, you finally remembered something~

| Least Weasel || I don't really understand any of that complex stuff too well, I'll just start calling you Jinri.

| Least Weasel || You're really wet and disoriented, it's worrying.  

| Chevrotain || Weasel-chan, I think the same, we can't leave behind this child who doesn't remember anything.  

| Chevrotain || But......If we don't collect the stones and return, Stoat-chan will be angry......

| Least Weasel || We can talk about that when the time comes! If Stoat-chan is angry, we can just give an apology together.  

| Least Weasel || Well, it's decided then.  

| Least Weasel || The savanna has many friends, maybe someone's seen you, or knows about you, so we'll ask around!

| Chevrotain || ......ah, Weasel-chan! wait......!

| Chevrotain || There's something in that patch of grass! They're coming, I can feel it getting closer......!

| Least Weasel || Huh? How could that be, you don't even remember Ceruleans?!

| Chevrotain || But, I heard if a Cerulean eats you, something scary happens......I don't want Weasel-chan to get into an accident!

| Least Weasel || Ah, look behind us! The Ceruleans we talked about, it's chasing us relentlessly!  

| Chevrotain || Eep, it's coming this way! Are you ok? Can you still run?  

| Chevrotain || Don't worry, I'll hold your hand as we run ~

| Chevrotain || Huh? It's Lucky Beast! How did it end up in the savanna, was it taking a walk?  

| Least Weasel || Lucky Beast just......!

| Chevrotain || Spoke! Could this child be......

| Least Weasel || Stop standing around! No time to chit-chat, if we don't run now it'll be too late!

| Least Weasel || Tonight's fog is heavy. The grass's smell is stronger than usual.  

| Least Weasel || Anyways, where should we find Friends who know Jinri?

| Chevrotain || Jinri, do you remember which direction you drifted from?

| Chevrotain || Right, the river water flows from over there towards us. I think we should go to that side~

| Least Weasel || I see, Chevrotain is really smarter than me.  

| Least Weasel || Let's hurry up and ask the Friends over there!

| Chevrotain || Wow, look, Weasel-chan, there's a huge shadow in that thick fog......

This guy's big and looks even harder to defeat than the ones just now.

| Least Weasel || Uh, isn't this a little too big!?

| Chevrotain || Eh! What's to be done, who'll save us~~!!

| Eurasian Eagle-Owl || Everyone, watch out! The Cerulean is now furious! In the next round, it will unleash greater strength.

| Hippopotamus || I have a [Guarding] Miracle, which can tank a lot of damage.

| Eurasian Eagle-Owl || An animal with no wings, no tail, and no big ears......

| Eurasian Eagle-Owl || You know, her appearance kind of looks similar to Haruka.  

| Chevrotain || As expected! I also think she resembles Haruka-san. After all, this child can speak to Lucky Beast~

| Hippopotamus || It's true that only Haruka can talk to Lucky Beast.

| Eurasian Eagle-Owl || Sure enough, this Friend is similar to Haruka. The skin won't dry, just like Haruka.  

| Chevrotain || Haruka-san is an very, very caring-san~

| Least Weasel || Right! If we go ask Haruka, won't she know who Jinri is?  

| Chevrotain || I agree, and not only that, Haruka's place has a nice, warm blanket and hot drinks~

| Chevrotain || Mm, then let's go to Haruka's place~!

| Least Weasel || The sun is up, so let's get going right away.  

| Hippopotamus || When it comes to Weasel and Chevrotain, they can definitely help you.
