Black-Backed Jackal is a Friend in Kemono Friends Pavilion. She was added to the game in patch 1.0.1, the first Friend to be added after the original release.

How to Encounter

Black-Backed Jackal spawns on the two items added on the date of her release; the Fukumasu and the Tire Pyramid.
However, the former is a currently-unavailable limited item and the latter can only be acquired from the SS Printer. Short of luck, the player will need alternative items to spawn her; the UMA Boat can work in both the Waterfront and Savanna, although it is another Printer item. Fortunately, her spawn rate is relatively high even without these Playthings and she can appear in both Savanna and Mountain areas quite often.

Unique Behavior

Black-Backed Jackal sometimes picks up the tires from the Tire Pyramid and starts playing with them if she starts playing on it.
