Stage Play "Kemono Friends" 2 ~Kemonos of the Snowy Night~ is the Kemono Friends franchise's second official stage play and the sequel to Stage Play "Kemono Friends". It features an original storyline, though whether or not is is officially considered canon is currently unknown. The play features several Friends recurring from the first play as well as several new Friends. The stage play comes in 3 versions, featuring Serval, Fennec and Raccoon, and members of PPP with Margay (except Southern Rockhopper Penguin), respectively. The stage play boasts an original musical score in addition to its story.
Plot
The Sandstar volcano erupted again and Japali Park became colder. At that time, Woolly Mammoth and Black Leopard heard that they were going to search for a projector in the snowy mountain area, and Okapi decided to accompany them. Stepping into the snowy mountain area, the three of them were crippled by the blizzard and the voice of the devil, and were unable to act. There they met the sisters, Silver Fox and Ezo Red Fox.
Silver Fox and Ezo Red Fox had long hoped to meet Okapi and Woolly Mammoth. This came true, so they went to see Oinari-sama at the shrine that Ezo Red Fox had long prayed to. There, Woolly Mammoth and Okapi prayed for a solution to the cold weather in Japari Park. Oinari-sama then told them that they could hold a snow festival, but no one knew about the snow festival. When they asked Oinari-sama about the Snow Festival, she demanded Inari-sushi.
Okapi and her friends, having given up praying because they did not understand Inari Sushi, went to a hot spring and talked about Silver Fox's treasure. It was a picture of Silver Fox, Ezo Red Fox, Woolly Mammoth, Okapi, and PPP. At that time, Black Leopard, as she recalled, said she saw PPP in the snowy mountain area.
PPP's Emperor Penguin and Gentoo Penguin were coming up the snowy mountain area, and the two met Reindeer who introduced them to a botanical garden where a cassette tape had fallen. However, Reindeer forgot to tell them about the demonic voices coming from the botanical garden.
Woolly Mammoth came to the hot spring rest area and repaired the park's broadcasting machine. Then, using the park's broadcasting machine, Silver Fox announced the Snow Festival to the Friends in the Snow Mountain area. Ezo Red Fox proposed to make a snow sculpture at the Snow Festival, but Woolly Mammoth and her friends refused and suggested to the contrary that they hold a dance contest.
Woolly Mammoth had learned from the Northern White-Faced Owl where the projector might be located. When asked about it, Ezo Red Fox replied that it might be at the hospital at the top of the mountain, so they all headed for the hospital.
On the way to the hospital, Ezo Red Fox lied about making a snow sculpture and remained at the observatory with Black Leopard. Ezo Red Fox was frustrated that Silver Fox would lie and told Black Leopard everything. Then Raccoon Dog appeared in front of them, who had come to form an idol group with her cute friends in the snowy mountain area. She invited Ezo Red Fox to join her, but Ezo Red Fox refused. Ezo Red Fox took them instead, saying that she had Friends she wanted to introduce them to.
Meanwhile, Woolly Mammoth and her friends headed to the hospital, where they found a projector but it was out of order. They also showed Woolly Mammoth and Okapi the Universal Flag, another treasure that Silver Fox had hidden away. Silver Fox then wanted to know the author of the painting and the universal flag, thinking that they were probably the same.
During PPP practice, Gentoo Penguin get angry with Royal Penguin. The reason was that they were not sexy enough. Seeing this, Emperor Penguin made up a false reason to find a new song, and came to the snowy mountain area to bring Gentoo Penguin together with their sexy Friends.
Ezo Red Fox says that the sexy Friends might be a pair of Western Parotia and Greater Lophorina, who are good at courtship dances, and calls them over. A pair of Western Parotia and Greater Lophorina showed them a dance, but soon disappeared. Because they heard the voice of the devil.
Meanwhile, a Cellien outbreak occurred at the hospital, leaving the three in a tight spot. Then White Tiger appeared and defeated Cellien. The hospital also received the demon's voice, so the four of them went downhill to the botanical garden.
When the two teams arrived at the botanical gardens and met up, White Tiger yelled at the devil's voice. Then Tasmanian Devil, the true identity of the demon voice, appeared. Ezo Red Fox then explained that she had hired the Tasmanian Devil for her own purposes. Silver Fox, in response, was angered by her sister's actions in rendering the greenhouse unusable and ran out of the botanical garden.
The remaining Woolly Mammoth and her friends went into the greenhouse. There they found many rice plants growing there. Ezo Red Fox was about to ask Oinari-sama to make Inari-sushi to reveal the author of the picture that Silver Fox was holding. Woolly Mammoth and her friends decided to help Ezo Red Fox.
While helping Ezo Red Fox, Emperor Penguin told Gentoo Penguin that there was someone she wanted Gentoo Penguin to meet. That person was Royal Penguin. She apologized to Gentoo Penguin, saying that she was only jealous and did not mean it, and the two made up.
At that time, Black Leopard returned to Japari Museum after descending the snowy mountain. She was there to repair a broken projector. Just as Ezo Red Fox and her friends were wondering how to thresh the cattle, Woolly Mammoth returned after repairing the projector. And the threshing method was left on film.
Finally, they reached the stage of making inari sushi, but they could not get fried tofu, and furthermore, due to the cold weather, the Japari Bun had become extremely small, and the Friends were on the verge of starving to death. Then Silver Fox appeared and lied to them, saying that she knew the artist of the painting and that they should all eat the rice. Ezo Red Fox and her friends refused at first, but Silver Fox told more lies and decided to share the rice.
Finally, the snow festival finally began. Then the cold weather ended, the skies cleared, and everything was resolved.
